About me
I have a background as an a cappella singer, arranger, composer and teacher of innovative choir direction.
My work includes personal musical expression as well as exploration of new tools to inspire others to unlock their musical potential and creativity.
To observe and facilitate singers' interactions in vocal groups and choirs is endlessly fascinating to me.
Learning
Singing together is an art form which requires both individual and collective abilities.
Regardless of whether your choir have a coaching session with me, or whether you participate in one of my lessons, workshops or courses, you will get an opportunity to practise providing initiative and giving support to initiatives by others. By alternating between standing out with your personal voice and blending in with the whole sound, you will learn some of the essentials of singing together.
Artistry
When you enter the stage together with your fellow singers, then it's about engaging with each other and with the audience, here and now. All preparations are now over. The more you have assimilated the music so that it is a natural part of you, the greater the possibilities you have to convey the essence of the music.
